Action to take:
People should contact New England office of ADL, Derrek L. Shulman, ADL New England regional director, Jeff Robbins, Boston Regional Board Chair. As an institution supported by Jewish community ADL has an obligation to intervene. One sided, selective information is synonymous with hate propaganda.

Letter from Kate Gerhsman:
All,My daughter Alina Monisov is an MBA student at University of Massachusetts Boston. Recently she received a mailing inviting her and her fellow students to attend the “TEACH-IN GAZA” discussion in a “In the wake of Israel¹s recent military assault” . You can read below response that my daughter sent to the school administration. I urge you to forward this email to as many people as possible on your mailing list, to state and government offices, to your state representatives and senators to ask ONE very simple question who funded this bias discussion on the premises of a state university. State university is being funded by the Massachusetts taxpayer’s money. This is not a private college that is accountable only to the shareholders; UMASS is accountable to us – residents of MA. As taxpayer of MA a good portion of my paycheck and paychecks of all hardworking people of MA pay the salaries of decision makers of this discussion. Who funded this lecture? Is it again petrodollars of the Middle East? I want the answer. Stop infecting brains of young people!!! These “TEACH-IN GAZA” discussions propagate disinformation and lies about small and very peace loving country with the name of ISRAEL. Instead of distorting the truth about the conflict, giving twisted facts use funds to send these Professors, so called specialists of Middle East, to visit Israel – I bet they would love it there – it is impossible not to like. I truly believe – the time came pretty ripe to start boycotting schools that propagate hate and inaccuracy about Israel. Please note I will forward this email to all people on my mailing list with strong encouragement to use all social media outlets condemning your decision to organize discussion “In the wake of Israel¹s recent military assault”. I cannot be silent and will urge my friends and acquaintances to do the same. With great regret,Yekaterina (Kate) Gershman.

Subject: Re: GAZA TEACH-IN on DECEMBER 10
Hello,As a umass MBA student I do not appreciate receiving biased emails like this. If a teach and learn session is being held, representatives from both sides should be part of the panel discussion. Lastly, using the word assault to describe Israel's military actions is completely unacceptable especially given the fact that Israel simply responded to over a 1000 rockets fired from Gaza an area that is under Hamas leadership an organization considered to be a terrorist entity by the United States.I hope we can come to a resolution before this session takes place.Thank you for your time and consideration.Alina

I am a graduate of Umass' IR program. This is actually kind of calm compared to what I have heard Lelia Farsakh spew out of her hateful mouth. The good news is 99percent of her students are dumb as rocks and never go on to do anything significant- just like her. The school knows who she is, but doesn't care. I wish I could post an old syllabus- your eyes would bleed. Shame on the University.
