Wow, these ex-Soviet Jews are capitalists with a vengeance! But before we celebrate this grossly materialistic achievement of yuri, let's be aware that in terms of Jewish values (personal modesty, giving one's excess income to tzadakah)what he has done is both a travesty and a disgrace.
Moreover, his showoff greediness may well boomerang. Over the years such outrageous spending has been typical of nouveau riche Jews who are pompous and oblivious of how their behavior looks to others and has caused, as a byproduct, a great deal of resentment, jealousy AND anti-semitism, especially when there's a recession and many people were-- and are-- losing their jobs, having a tough time making ends meet.
thanks, yuri--- for nothing.
