Why do they hate us? Is it because they hate themselves to begin with? There are a lot of remarkable people in Alexander's collection. There are no happy people among them. All eaten up by insecurity, hate, and self-hate.

This was not just any literature, but an ultra-nationalistic and chauvinistic brand -- and front and center in this collection sat the anti-Semitic writings.From 1994 to 2003, whenever I found myself in the capital of my former home city of Moscow, I used to come without fail to that place in order to replenish my library of paperback and hardcover books devoted to elaborate and multifaceted Jew-hating. This marketplace of bigotry and hatred (which, by the way, didn't attract even the slightest police attention) was located downtown, in front of an institution whose name sounded lofty, dignified, and even noble -- The Moscow Museum of History.[Read the whole thing]
