Dmitri Salita paid his dues in Brooklyn's Starrett Boxing Club. Now, he wants a fight on HBO.
Promoter Lou DiBella told ESPN.com that his June 21 "Boxing After Dark" card (HBO) will take place at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The main event features welterweight Andre Berto against Miki Rodriguez in a title eliminator, with a meeting between unbeaten heavyweight prospects Cristobal Arreola (23-0, 21 KOs) and Chazz Witherspoon (23-0, 15 KOs) in the opener. DiBella hoped to match New York ticket sellers Dmitriy Salita (28-0-1, 16 KOs) and Edgar Santana (24-3, 15 KOs) in a third fight on the telecast, but HBO balked at the junior welterweight match. DiBella said both fighters would appear in separate, untelevised bouts, but Salita, an Orthodox Jew with a following in New York, was very disappointed that HBO would not buy him against his city rival. "It's disheartening and I am not getting an opportunity to show myself," he said in an e-mail to ESPN.com. "I gave my life to boxing and have overcome a lot to get to this point. I remember reading about [Bob] Arum trying to pitch [Kelly] Pavlik to HBO and he said, 'There's a perception with boxing network guys and boxing people that if you're a white guy, you can't fight.' I had to overcome that perception my whole life. Add my background to it and I think it increases that stereotype. But I won the nationals, every inner-city tournament for like six years, the Golden Gloves and the Ray Robinson award. I am undefeated as a pro. "I grew up in [Brooklyn's] Starrett Boxing Club with Joe Greene, Luis Collazo, Curtis Stevens, Jaidon Codrington, Monte Barrett, Zab Judah, Travis Simms, now Danny Jacobs is the new blood. We all come from the same gym. I got one of the best boxing educations in the world. I didn't pop up here. I gave my life to boxing and I deserve my opportunity." [link]

The fact that Greenburg is jewish doesn't give him alibi of not being antisemite. What he does is antisemitism toward Salita and toward jewish people globally. It's new jewish antiseitism.

Dmitriy Salita Vs Antisemitism in Boxing
HBO is biased toward Salita. In six years as a pro he never fought on HBO. All top opponents were not approved by HBO: Arthuro Gatti (World Champion), Paul Mallignaggie(World Champion), Edgar Santana, Gavin Reyes(World Champion), Andreas Kotelnik(WBA World Champion). Meanwhile, Andre Berto already had multiple appearances on HBO against inferior opponents which HBO approved, the same is true about Paul Mallignaggie, and Arthuro Gatti who HBO likes and let him fight anybody he wants.
Salita was screamed at by HBO executive, and was told that since Salita is jewish, and has no fan base (3000 jewish fans that come to Salita fights are not counted). Thus, HBO doesn't consider jewish fans as sports fans, instead Salita was told that HBO network is oriented toward hispanic audience.
P.S. It is very sad, that it is taking place in America. Anti Defamation League should investigate what's going on.

HBO Executives are hating Salita!!!
Dmitriy Salita is so good - HBO, (Ross Grenburg) is affraid to give him a fight(they can't imagine a possibility of Salita becoming a world champion, jewish world champion ).
Dmitriy Salita challenged just about everybody:
1. Arthuro Gatti,
2. WBA Champion Gavin Reyes,
3. Paul Spadafora (is scared),
4. Paul Mallignaggie is scared as well
5. Santana is scared,
6. Kotelnik is scared,
7.Salita recently challenged De La Hoya and Hatton.
All these fights have been turned down by HBO executives without reason, with no explanation. Dmitriy Salita is a true hero, who faces antisemitism all his career!!! Batle with Antisemitism is the biggest battle he is fighting right now.
Fear no evil by Nathan Sharanskiy is favorite book of George Bush who Dmitriy met at the White House. Maybe president of the United States should fight together with Dmitriy Salita antisemitism in boxing.

WBA #2 Ranked Dmitriy Salita is not given a chance to fight for a world title because he is jewish!!!
Salita can beat Kotelnik, Salita can beat Malignaggie - but HBO will never make those fights. First, because CEO of HBO Sports, Ross Greenburg, hates Salita. Everybody in boxing knows it!!! Why one jew would hate another jew, a reader might ask ? Read a must read article by Thomas Hausser about who gets fights on HBO and why. The answer is bribes.
Second, since Greenburg and Salita are both jewish, it makes Greenburg very uncomfortable - antisemites might say, and according to sources close to the situation are talking about it for a long time already. In reality being jewish works in Salita's disadvantage because Ross Greenburg wants to show the whole world that Salita and him being jewish won't land Salita a fight. So, my dear antisemites don't worry as long as I'm CEO of HBO - Salita is gonna be turned down even if he challenges Mike Tyson. Besides eventhough there only 4 lines about me on wikepedia, compare to 7 paragraphs about Salita - I make multimillion dollar salary - and would like to keep it this was I don't give a shit about jewish pride. As a result of this jewish antisemitism by Ross Greenburg, HBO turned down Salita show down with Gavin Reyes, Paul Mallignaggie, Santana, Arthuro Gatti, and now Kotelnik.
P.S. Ross Greenburg's hate for Salita is so big - it is destroying Salita's career. What's the point to box if you #2 in the world, undefeated in 29 fights, and can't get a fight on HBO.
Jewish fans, media common - we live in a free country, don't we.
It is a fight everybody should fight, fight against jewish and non jewish antisemitism.
