I completely agree.

Unfortunately, on the same day the statue was opened, Chinese communist authorities have demolished a statue of a Buddhist master at Tibet's oldest monastery. (news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070616/ap_on_re_as/china_tibet_buddhist_statue).

I don't know if this is a coincidence (China was the only government that protested opening of the democracy statue in Washington, so it might be destroying Buddhist statue in reprisal.) But I see a lot of symbolism here, would you agree?

As you see, Communism is far from dead. Old communists still fight hard to protect their power.

As for the Western academia, it has for a long time been in need of its own Peter the Great, who would cut off the beards of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
