Jews Call On Casey to Return MoveOn’s Contributions and Repudiate Its MessagesNew York, NY – The Center for Jewish Values today called on Pennsylvania Democrat, US Senate Candidate Bob Casey, Jr. to return almost $170,000 of campaign contributions from extremist group MoveOn.org. As has been covered extensively in the press over the past several months, MoveOn.org’s website has a record of attacking Jews and Israel in the most virulent terms. The public repeatedly has asked Casey to repudiate MoveOn’s hate, to return all contributions he has received in connection with MoveOn, and to reject future contributions from MoveOn. Casey continues to ignore all such requests.
“Jews are frightened that MoveOn’s hate message is becoming so influential in national politics. We are deeply troubled that Casey is legitimizing and making himself beholden to a group that tolerates and promulgates the worst kind of hatred, anti-Semitism and anti-Israel propaganda,” said CJV president Jeff Ballabon.
CJV requested that Casey do everything in his power to demonstrate that he rejects MoveOn’s hatred for Jews and Israel. “Bob Casey is a public figure,” said Ballabon. “It is imperative that he shows that he is
sensitive to and opposes the rise of anti-Semitism in Democratic politics by returning all money associated with MoveOn.org, by refusing any invitations by MoveOn and by issuing a statement openly distancing himself and his campaign from MoveOn’s politics of hate.”Ballabon added, “Americans of good conscience, regardless of their faith,
should be troubled that Bob Casey knowingly accepts money from a political organization whose website compared President Bush to Hitler, referred to American supporters of Israel as a “BushCo ZioNeoCon Cabal,” labeled Israelis “ZioNazis,” and called Jews “sneaky,” “greedy pigs,” and “media-owning Jewish pigs.”As of June 30, 2006, public records show that Casey has accepted $168,591 from MoveOn.org.

Winged Hussar, I finally go tthe chance to look over the website you provided. It contains at most a few dozen abhorrent things posted on open Moveon.org web forums, which receive thousands of messages a week. It also quotes Moveon's executive director Eli Pariser (a Jew himself, incidentally), condemning such statements and pointing out that people on the forums criticized such comments.
Your assertion that these comments received "overwhelming support" from others in the forum is laughable. Several of them were marked as being supported by under 20 people--often under 10. This is overwhleming? Partiuclarly when one considers that MoveOn counts over a million members, I'm not too impressed.
You also make a claim about something in an "official MoveOn Bulletin," but provide no link to it. Where's this supposed smoking gun?
So in short, I'm curious--what's your ultimate goal? If it was truly to fight anti-Semitism, you wouldn't waste your time on something as petty as this.

Yet another attempt to use Jewish publications to spread thinly veiled right wing propaganda (the original article about the alleged antisemitism of the moveon.org was published in Rev. Moon's Washington Times).
Look at the list of major moveon.org donors- its two biggest donors are Peter Lewis and George Soros are Jewish and so are many organizers and activists of this movement.

Curious, let me enlighten you. My blog and Web site are full of racist and anti-Semitic slurs from MoveOn's Action Forum, where they garnered overwhelming support from the other participants. Furthermore, MoveOn's exercise of editorial control over the forum made it 100 percent responsible for the content.
http://www.stentorian.com/MoveOn/sideshow1.html for a circus sideshow of the anti-Semitic and racist freaks that MoveOn.org attracts and encourages. Furthermore, an official MoveOn bulletin effectively accuses Jews of divided loyalties and it is no surprise that the Action Forum participants took a cue from it.
Not only do they use "Jew" as an insult while accusing Jews of having divided loyalties and owning all the media, they call prominent African-Americans "house slaves" while branding African-American soldiers as potential mutineers who cannot be trusted with weapons. Christians are derided as Christo-Fascists and Hitler is compared (favorably) to George Bush. The 9/11 conspiracy theories, some of which blame Jews, could have come straight from the Jeff Rense Show.

Who is the Center for Jewish values? I hadn't heard of them before, but a visit to their website shows that it's still under construction.
And perhaps I've missed a lot of pres coverage in the past several months, but I certainly don't think of Moveon.org as anti-Jewish or anti-Israel (nor extremist, though I suppose that depends what you think of issues like the war in Iraq and health care, and whether you like Democrats or Republicans). This release quotes some truly offensive comments, but who at Moveon.org allegedly made them, and when?
