DISENGAGEMENT STRUGGLE ADVISOR TO HEAD MOFAZ´S CAMPAIGN TO LEAD LIKUD
(IsraelNN.com) Political advisor to the Yesha Council (of Judea and Samaria communities), Yuval Porat, will head Defense Minister Sha'ul Mofaz's campaign to head the Likud Party. Porat served as advisor to the Yesha Council over the past year and was one of the leading strategists behind the campaign against the Disengagement Plan – ostensibly out of ideological identification with the cause. He said Sunday that after deep internal ideological conflict he decided to help Mofaz, even though the Defense Minister was one of the main backers of the expulsion of Jews from Gaza and northern Samaria.
Socialism is a pretty evil system. It breeds people's dependency on the state,it denigrates people and denies them dignity. This is true about welfare mothers here in the US. This is also true about Israeli politicians. Here you go -- the main strategist of the struggle against Disengagement goes to work for its main architect and implementer. When the government is the main source of employment people could be very flexible about their views. On the other hand if you think about how Yesha Council went out of its way to loose the struggle you are not surprised anymore.
Mr. Porat, why don't you get a real job? Selling people you claimed to represent is not a good occupation for a nice Jewish boy. So, what is the going rate for a "deep internal struggle"?
